November has arrived at Painted Chapter, and the packing table is once again overflowing with beautiful prints, little treasures and plenty of creative magic!
This month's Art and Book Mail Clubs have two wonderfully different themes, and I've been having so much fun bringing them both to life. From cosy countryside charm to dark fantasy and forbidden temptation, there's something rather special heading through the post this November.
🪶 November Art Club – Pheasants, Tartan & Country Charm
This month's Art Club is inspired by the beautiful British countryside, with a gorgeous autumnal country-house feel.
Pheasants take centre stage, accompanied by rich tartan patterns, rustic details and those lovely warm colours that make this time of year feel so inviting.
Think countryside walks, wellington boots, cosy firesides and a little traditional country charm!
I've been creating a collection of coordinating paper goodies and artwork to capture that timeless rural aesthetic, with a few little surprises tucked inside too.
It's a celebration of countryside living, nature and the simple beauty of November.
🍎 November Book Club – Forbidden Fruit, Heaven & Hell
Over in the Book Club, things are taking a much darker and more mysterious turn!
November's theme is Forbidden Fruit, Heaven & Hell, inspired by temptation, forbidden love, fallen angels and the deliciously dangerous worlds of dark fantasy romance.
Expect rich reds, romantic pinks, golden touches and symbolic details inspired by pomegranates, chains, wings and the fine line between good and evil.
We're also delighted to be featuring UK indie fantasy romance author Chelsea Elliott, creator of The Book of Chains series, including Songbird & Hellfire.
Her world of Winged Sirens, fallen angels, demons, prophecy and morally grey characters is the perfect inspiration for this month's theme.
I've loved exploring these darker, romantic illustrations and putting together little extras that feel as though they belong between the pages of a fantasy novel.
📦 Packing Up a Little November Magic
Both clubs are now being carefully packed, ready to make their way to subscribers.
One of my favourite parts of running these monthly clubs is seeing all the individual pieces come together. What starts as a little idea or sketch slowly becomes a beautiful envelope of artwork, stationery and surprises.
It's also a particularly special month, as November marks one whole year of the Painted Chapter Mail Clubs!
A whole year of creating, illustrating, packing and posting little pieces of art around the world. I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has subscribed, purchased a one-off edition or supported this little creative adventure.
Whether you're here for the countryside charm or the darker side of fantasy, I hope November's editions bring a little happiness to your letterbox.
Thank you for being part of the Painted Chapter story. Here's to another year of creativity, books and beautiful post! 🍂
With love,
Holly x
