September Art Mail Club Reveal – Cats, Flowers & Blue Willow 💙🌸

I’m so excited to finally share the main artwork for September’s Art Mail Club!

This month I’ve been completely inspired by blue and white pottery, overflowing late-summer flowers and cosy little moments at home — and, of course, I couldn’t resist adding a cat into the mix.

The main September illustration features a very curious ginger cat sitting beside an overflowing bouquet of pink, lilac and blue flowers, arranged in an ornate blue-and-white patterned vase. There’s even a little bit of mischief happening at the bottom of the picture… I think somebody may have been investigating the biscuits!

I wanted this piece to feel cheerful, slightly nostalgic and full of all those little details you notice the longer you look at it.

The Inspiration Behind September's Artwork

For September I’ve been particularly drawn to the beautiful cobalt blues found on traditional Blue Willow and vintage blue-and-white ceramics.

Rather than creating a completely traditional Blue Willow design, I wanted to take that gorgeous colour palette and mix it with my own style — adding loose florals, pinks and lilacs, a playful cat and the soft striped background.

I love how the deep blues of the vase sit against the softer flowers and the warm orange of the cat. It feels like that lovely point between summer and autumn, when there are still flowers everywhere but you’re starting to crave cosier days indoors.

What Else Will Be Inside September's Art Mail?

The main artwork is just the beginning.

I’m currently putting together the rest of the September envelope, with coordinating little pieces inspired by the same blue willow, botanical and floral theme.

Expect plenty of beautiful blues, delicate flowers and illustrated details designed to complement the main print.

As always, I want opening the Art Mail Club envelope to feel like receiving a tiny parcel of art and happy post through your letterbox.

A Little Piece of Art Through Your Letterbox

The Art Mail Club is my way of creating something special each month that you might not otherwise find in my usual collections.

Every month has its own theme and new artwork, so over time you can build up a lovely little collection of prints and paper treasures — whether you display them on your walls, prop them on a bookshelf, add them to a gallery wall or keep them tucked away in a journal.

September's main artwork is now officially revealed — and I think this might be one of my favourite Art Mail Club pieces yet.

If you love cats, flowers, blue-and-white pottery and whimsical illustrated art, September is definitely one to look out for.
